I saw Yagyuu. After that, I saw Katsu and was sold on the spot.

Hopefully this doesn't count as reviving a dead thread.
Back before SK: Burst came out I remember reading an interview or something with Takaki. All I remember is that he said something about wanting to make 3D boobs for a game and I thought to myself that this guy has things figured out.
Fast forward to when it was released on the store and I remembered what the wise Takaki said so I figured I'd give it a try. I was surprised that the game was actually pretty decent. SV came out a bit later and I figured I may as well keep going and ever since I've had the Crimson Squad sitting on my desk.

As I recall, I started seeing images popping up two or three years ago in image boards and the like. At first I thought the images were related to the Ikkitousen franchise which I also liked. After seeing enough images, I started to look into the series. What really got me invested was when I discovered Nintendo had released one of the titles in their eShop.

I was browsing Sankaku when I saw an article about the very first game. After one look at Haruka I became a senran fan.

I actually got into this because, I was looking for some good beat em up style games on the 3DS. Played Code of Princess and completed it and saw Senran Kagura Burst was a thing and picked it up. It was a really fun beat em up game. Ever since then, i've been into the series.

I discovered the series on the eshop, saw it was a hack and slash and looked silly, and since my friends kept telling me I took games too seriously, I bought it for something light-hearted and stupid. I admit, the Hanzo route to me didn't attract attention and seemed pretty basic. The Hebijo story on the other hand quickly sold me on the series, and they remain my favorite team.

I bought a vita and sadly found out the game library for NA was very lacking so after going to gamestop and seeing the only Vita game in a box that being the Shinobi Versus and picking it up I fell in love. I actually did the Hanzo story line first but ended up loving Homura's Sqauds characters the most and they are probably the reason I stuck around along with the fanservice. Yaegashi Nan's art was also something that caught my attention since its probably the most iconic thing in the series and I actually liked his art in Da Capo if anyone here ever read that

Short version is I saw footage of SV when it was first revealed. I wasn't sure on how to feel and thought it was just one of those games where there's no meat in the story, just fan service. However, I decided to do some research just to make sure, which was when I came across the wiki. I did some research on the characters and was rather surprised about their backstories. At that point, I was interested in learning more. The rest is history.

Saw boobs and got interested but unfortunately I didn't have a 3DS nor a Vita to actually play the game so I was kinda out of luck there. I discovered there was an anime but I figured it'd just be another fan service ordeal so I was a bit hesitant on watching it but I decided to give it a chance and to my surprise I watched the entire thing in a day, the character's grew on me, I found myself caring about their situation, their bonds, the answers to their questions and more. I'm playing Estival Versus as I write this and I'm happy I have the chance to experience at least one game in the series.
The action is so fast paced and I love it. I got it a bit later than expected but nevertheless I got it, just 5 days. Better late than never but I was honestly pushing for a day 1 purchase, its one of my grips with ordering online but hey, I got my Endless Summer.

If you do get the chance, absolutely check out Burst and SK2 (my favorite). SK2 in particular has a lot of massive battles that are really cool and different from what you experience in SV and EV.
