By the way, it's impossible to sign up if you don't live in Japan as you need an au/Docomo/Softbank email address to register for Gree, the service it's running on. So yeah, don't get too excited as this is even more region locked than the 3DS games (at least you can import a 3DS...).  |

Yeah, it royally sucks but what can we do?
I was right about Ayame. Translated her profile:
Ayame
First year at Hanzou
Above all else her own desires take precedence, she's a very relaxed, my pace sort of girl.
At first glance in Middle School she idolized Katsuragi.
She's doing well with her 'I want to harass you' appeal. (I really have no confidence with this translation but I think it's right)
She wants to kill her past self to live on, which is a very negative way to live. (Again, another I'm not too confident with)
Her fighting style is martial arts without weapons, wielding iron gaunlets and iron boots. (The iron bit is a little assumption as it doesn't specify that in the Japanese, plus they're not exactly gauntlets but I'm not sure how else to describe them)

Truth to be told, I expect to see all these characters in some kind of epic fighting game spin-off in the near future, 10 characters per game just seems like way to many to be added to the roster within the span of 1.5 years. It'll feel like a waste if they're not going to use these characters in the future.  |

I wonder if any of the new characters will end up as DLC addons for Shinovi Versus? ( Or with cameos in the upcoming anime, for that matter.) I expect them all to appear in the anime now that the series has 30+ characters at it's disposal. They might get major roles if the anime gets to the point where they'll start having to use filler content. |

That's heartbreaking the game can't be played on a US phone however they should put the characters as DLC and I wouldn't mind them being in a 3DSware/PSN spinoff or in a console/handheld sequel or retail spinoff, don't let potentially decent characters go to waste.

Wait this just made notice it has Muramasa as 0 years old what? I wanted to do them in order but I might aswell translate hers to clear this up. Her blood type and general appearance (those eyes!) should be a giveaway but: Muramasa First year at Hanzou She's a cat ear wearing android. (The JP says "karakuri robo" which is like 'mechanised robot', that's pretty much an android isn't it?) Abandoned on the side of the street, Hibari picked her up. From then on she's lived in Hanzou (the school). She loves Hibari She wanted to be useful for her so she became a ninja. Wields (those massive things on her arms) that deliver shocking blows (I believe her fist things are called Vernier) Using (those massive things on her arms) she prides herself in aerial movement. (You can see on the back of her right arm there's a hole, I'm guessing boosters or something) bday: 7th April Age: 0 Blood type: D38-HX Bust: 70 Waist: 52 Hip: 68 Favourite food: Ethanol aqueous solution |

At the very least, the animators would have character models to use in any "filler" shots; to show who else is around, even in scnees where they aren't being used for anything just yet. This is just one more game for us to try to get localized! GREE has been increasing their presence outside of Japan, so if Senran Kagura can spread internationally there is the always a possibility. I will make a board for this game soon. This topic and any others that might be made that relate to it will be moved there in the future. So please continue discussing it and don't feel limited to just this topic.

This will be running on Docomo right? Don't play many games on my phone but this is so tempting. However I would of liked to see this on a game system. It could be ported to a handheld and with those graphics, the 3DS is the only bet, Front Mission 2089 was a cell phone game ported to the DS with 2089-II included in abridged form. Vita has a chance if it's a PSN title, they tend to get the card based titles. As for GREE slowly being popular in the West, didn't know that, but that also would increase the chances of a US release providing we can get at least one of the handhelds here. |
