Senran Kagura PBS - Week 3 62,000 is the online sales? So more than 100,000 people already bought this low budget kusoge?

Those are some ridiculously short legs. Unless you are a small handful of titles in Japan it seems pretty normal that majority of sales come in first week. I've noticed this about quite a few PSV and PS4 titles I've followed. I'd guess they are fine with these numbers and could see it doing very well in other territories.

What kind of legs would you expect for this shit? It should have way surpassed expectations.

I'd guess they are fine with these numbers and could see it doing very well in other territories. Thing is, EV and even SK2 managed to hold better over time and PBS was intended to bring more fans to the series, so seeing it drop like a rock means the series won't be leaving its niche anytime soon. And mind you, Takaki is pushing it as Marvelous new flagship series.

Your expectations for what PBS was going to do were weird. Bring more fans to the series...? I dont think anyone ever thought it'd leave nice or have any legs. And SK has been their flagship series since like 2013.

Dengeki Online Sales is the name of the source, not that the game has sold 62k units digitally. Takaki made abundantly clear he wanted to use PBS to get new fans into the series so yes, is not a good sign for the game to drop like a rock like that. Harvest Moon continues to be much more profitable for Marvelous. What are those "legs" you're talking about? :0 That is slang for long term sales. Just like on any business, front loaded releases are nice but releases that continue selling over long periods of time are what most companies really want.

Senran Kagura PBS - Week 4 Well... At least the game went passed the sales target, I hope. Hopefully, if the game is localized, the franchise would make good profit.

Just like on any business, front loaded releases are nice but releases that continue selling over long periods of time are what most companies really want. Let me make a prediction then. Every SK game made from this point out is going to have its sales drop like a rock after the first week. Just like every other SK game or niche title in general. SV was the only one that lasted a month. Takaki had to be positive he was not going to get an upswell in new fans because of a poorly built TPS. He says it's part of the "ongoing story" (ie not an entry point) but expects new fans to carry the games for weeks? The non-SK fans are going to be attracted to literally everything else being released last month over PBS. I'm just beside myself on how a crappy game like this sells 50k+ first week as a PS4 exclusive.
