Excellent article.
Honestly I can't understand all the people that claims Sk2's plot is terrible.

I personally felt that often the battles felt so forced, like "story, story, story... oh hey, every mission is supposed to contain a fight right? Yeah... we should probably fight about now", but perhaps I should replay it after finishing EV

Excellent article. Honestly I can't understand all the people that claims Sk2's plot is terrible. to me its the best plot so far and could have done it more seriously , the boss fights are really cool and challenging . I personally felt that often the battles felt so forced, like "story, story, story... oh hey, every mission is supposed to contain a fight right? Yeah... we should probably fight about now", but perhaps I should replay it after finishing EV well it kinda the same formula as burst tho the game play is better , thats what you get from a shonin \ ecchi type of game im gonna post my 100% completion on SK 2 soon this week just like i did in the Burst board , tho im not sure will i do it in pictures or a video and how i can effectively capture it with my iphone . im almost 80 hours in the game .

I felt like Burst and SV both often had proper justification for battles, like "hey, you're an enemy! I should fight you", whereas in DC it was often "we're having a friendly talk, but wait! This story segment needs to end with a fight! Here is ex machina often silly and unrelated reason for us to fight!" It distracted me from what was actually happening. Perhaps going in the game knowing that will make a difference.

The only segment where the fights were "forced" into the narrative is the Hot Spring episode and even then it doens't feel like that due the whole thing being played for the laughs. All the other times there's a proper justification for the conflict, this being a sort of role reversal between Crimson and Hanzo based on their different ideas.

Perhaps going in the game knowing that will make a difference. well yeah thats how i see the series as a whole :- burst had a true sense of a classic 2D side scroller like final fight and streets of rage that made boss fights relevant in that sense SK2 while i love the charecter developments in CH 5 ( crimson ) but yeah i didnt like ch 4's kagura chapter as it should have been called ( hot springs vacation ) that chapter almost ruined it for me cuz the build up was heating up from previous chapters the Versus game has to make it as a must that each level has to end with a boss as i find it tiresome as like it to be like Tekken force in Tekken 4 , God Hand etc... The only segment where the fights were "forced" into the narrative is the Hot Spring episode and even then it doens't feel like that due the whole thing being played for the laughs. All the other times there's a proper justification for the conflict, this being a sort of role reversal between Crimson and Hanzo based on their different ideas. still the bosses were better than EV tho i wish generals were more fearsome & stronger .

For me chapter 4 was one of the best chapters of that game. That was the first time in the SK franchise that I laughed so hard at its jokes. It was pure fun.

Well the game went on sale and I did wind up purchasing it.
I feel like the game has some distracting flaws already, but I have just started it as well. I really like the improved presentation and I am having a lot of fun with the customization. I would like the characters to have more depth in their moveset, especially Mirai, because pulling various weapons out of hammerspace made me like her a lot more. I should prolly try co-op sometime in the future as well.

I have a question about the DLC missions. Which ones count toward 100% completion?

if your asking to know if you can get the badge on the site, you dont need to buy any of the dlc, its there purely for your enjoyment, if you finish the dlc missions, you do get some interesting extras though.
