Remember that mechanic where when you used Frantic you lost your defenses?
I want it back. Make it happen, Takaki.

a Xenoverse type Senran Kagura (could be titled Senran Kagura World or Senran Kagura Universe or Senran Kagura MULTIVERSE ) that would be awesome and would elevate the series to more massive heights (though of course there shouldn't be flight, maybe hovering like Kagura, but the combat should still be ground based like the gravity in Shinovi/Estival) Players can play as their own created and customized ninja girl (options that rival Xenoverse plus much greater hairstyle selection) form their own team/clan/faction logo, create their own team members (to subtitute players offline) to form a team of 5, customize their own fighting style and signature moves, have a city hub accessible offline and online where players can shop, recruit, challenge, join versus lobbies, do co-op (1-5 ninjas) missions, get loot, level up and more. Senran Kagura series did get a massive upgrade in quality and gameplay when it learned and adapted some lessons from games like Dynasty Warriors, but now I think the new formula Xenoverse is introducing would enhance Senran Kagura even more. gematsu.com/2016/02/dragon-ball-xenoverse-shipments-top-3-13-millionSenran Kagura is missing out on so much money it could be making with a better gameplay format. yea the Shinovi/Estival gameplay formula is superior to any SK on 3DS, but the dynasty warriors format is not nearly as popular as the Xenoverse format is. I think even Naruto could eventually be getting its own Xenoverse inspired game. beat em ups dont sell as much as full 3D fighting, there are some things Senran Kagura can learn from both NSUNS4 and Xenoverse to raise the gaming standards. one of the things a Senran Kagura Xenoverse/World can do better than xenoverse, is support 5 players/members co-op for all story missions, not just side missions, that would make all the content team friendly and community compatible. it's very doable and xenoverse shows that switching targets is easy to do, and raising downed party members is simple to understand. Senran Kagura is no stranger to group battles but it should push for more immersive 1-5 vs 1-5 combat, instead of one vs. dozens of trash mobs. I think this way, the enemy a.i. quality could improve too. they could still have generics as enemies here and there, but in numbers of 5-8 with buffed up offense and defensive a.i. and they could use a more over the shoulder camera with open for free cam too. and first person option too. ah Senran Kagura can improve in lots of ways without needing to become an mmorpg. Xenoverse shows how effecient that genius formula can make games better offline and online, without breaking budget. Heck back then if even Phantasy Star Online provided a format that is both affordable and beneficial offline and online, Xenoverse made things even better for action/fighting games to learn from to improve their own games into something more. Senran Kagura Multiverse story could be its own dimension/heaven where Senran Kagura fans go there after they die and can become a Senran Kagura type teenage girl of their own aesthetic preferences (which can be edited/changed anytime), and begin a series of missions that involve competing with other factions to be the ultimate ninja faction, while also defending worlds from yoma, and can do shopping, customize their skill set, socialize and various other fun things including tournaments and team tournaments.

This is a minor suggestion here but I'd like it if they made the girls have different body models like they did for VD. For example, give Haruka a voluptuous body size since you see her as a thick girl in fanart and cards, Murasaki being bigger too from her large weight, etc.
I'd like to see that than seeing the same body models for everyone

YES! That! It's so annoying to see at least slightly chubby characters in 2d art to end up almost showing ribs in 3d models. I I'm guessing it's largely a budget thing, but I'd appreciate the same. I'm quite sure the fanbase would be delighted as well.

New cast or move it around. I'm replaying SK2. Maybe it's because I'm replaying it but it'd probably be best to not focus on Asuka for a while. She just feels directionless personified, you can say that's her character but she just seems to get really boring. The worst thing that could be other than another versus is a "asuka-homura" game like SK2 or burst. The interactions feel so played and so samey that it'll just be in a rut. Their interactions in EV highlight this. "oh we're such rivals, grrr" zzzz. Asuka is pretty expendable for whats a main character anyway I think.

Somebody make a New Wave spinoff for this guy already. lol I've been pretty adamant on how that'd be pretty bad. Do you seriously want the same formula over and over again? That's insanity. Would lose a ton of interest over time especially with stories like SK2. And no, I'd hate if they use NW. Just use new characters or something along the lines like that. Unless you like versus games because they sell so well and just want those to continue.

The next installment of the series should really encompass the good things from both the Nintendo and Sony titles.
- 3DS Game Aspects - Story Structure Tag Ninpos Giant Youma Battles
- Playstation Game Aspects - 3D Combat Mechanics Expanded Cast Shinobi Heart Missions
That would be perfect for me. The only thing they could do beyond that is implement a full-on character creator or that Xenoverse style game you guys talked about earlier.

I know I said this in the Hibari thread, but I really think she should get her own game. Other than that, I would personally want to see a continuation of Deep Crimson. In terms of the Versus series, I think the next one of those should focus on the Mikagura sisters.

I have little confidence in a new mainline game, so maybe it's time to experiment à la Neptunia. Get some different characters with their own spin-offs in relatively short, but more innovative games. Vita will be a perfect platform for that. Maybe that will allow them to regain the creativity that made the series cool in the first place.

I mean, I'm hoping for a happy merger of Deep Crimson and the Versus series if we're not going to get a Deep Crimson sequel, and I love the idea of a platformer starring Hibari, maybe in the vein of Super Mario, Sonic, or Crash Bandicoot, or my favorite, classic Spyro. I would also be interested in an RPG or fighting game. I also quite like the idea of Peach Beach Splash.
