Takaki and Senran Kagura team should seriously research Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, they could make Senran Kagura mainstream with its own battle royale game, which could be called Senran Kagura Battle Royale (which is a effective, straightforward and universally identifiable of its franchise and genre)
Senran Kagura found greater success copying genres like Dynasty Warriors's musou hack n slash concept (Shinovi, Estival),
and Peach Beach Splash in some ways copied inspirations from successful games like Overwatch and Splatoon, but they should think bigger, like Battle Royale bigger
now compared to dynasty warriors games, fighting games and arena shooters, battle royale is still a young genre which Senran Kagura should take advantage of.
Battlegrounds making over 10,000,000 in just a few months, is not a fluke and not a fad. The genre resonates with millions of people worldwide, and fans demand more and different kinds of battle royale games to be made.

at this point, Senran Kagura Battle Royale would be a golden opportunity for the franchise to enter mainstream interest and sales.
and it doesn't necessarily have to support 100 players, they could have a 40 players cap (which is the same amount of contestants involved in the Battle Royale book and movie that invented and started the battle royale concept
and inspirations,
which lead to the creation of the Hunger Games, which in turn inspired the creations of ARK SOTF, H1Z1 Battle Royale and others)
and Senran Kagura would be one of a kind in the genre, with its unique art style, beautiful characters, and this genre would make it easier to add everyone from New Wave,
fans already accept PBS being TPS, so Senran Kagura Battle Royale would generate even more interest from open minded fans.
and it doesn't need blood or killing involved. a character can be eliminated simply by inflicting enough damage to strip them of all their equipped clothes and underwear until they are naked (they could use Shinovi or Estival style of censor so it doesnt get banned in the west), so searching and putting on clothes does increase one's durability and survival.
as for weapons, they could use conventional guns, or have power ups to find that unlock the player's specific signature weapon/fighting style, and could include melee and ranged moves to choose from. so it can be a bit TPS and also hack n slash.
as for open world island, the team showed they can make a variety of map sizes, and 10 players Estival Versus handles pretty well, with 40 players, they can improve their netcode skills and map size skills, and really create a masterpiece that current and new Senran Kagura fans would like. it would be so massive and epic!!
games like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds shows that narrative is overrated and unnecessary, and even Senran Kagura, with how unfocused it is, its hard to take its stories seriously anyways, so Senran Kagura Battle Royale would be a great project they should pursue while battle royale is still fresh and people seek more different kinds of battle royale to play overall. they can do a lot more focusing on gameplay and multiplayer, and they could add a single player offline mode with bots, so the game is playable even without online.
like really, at the rate they release new SK action games, adding everyone from New Wave wouldn't come soon enough, though the battle royale suggestion isn't just for New Wave characters, but Senran Kagura as a whole could innovative itself in more amazing epic ninja survival war through the battle royale format. and it could support solo and teams of 5.
It would be the most beautiful and fun battle royale game and longest played Senran Kagura game ever!!!!!
