8 hours before Daidouji and Suzune lol, can't wait to try them myself. The fuma shurikens look awesome. Guess Daidouji senpai will be a high-endurance character, Suzune sensei will be a high-speed character with DCD.

They look really cool and I find it funny that the only character that looks like a ninja is DLC on a ninja themed game .

After playing senpai and sensei for many matches I got a basic understanding of them.
Daidouji + Highest endurance of all, high defense and health, both hiden ninpos are unblockable and fast, hiden ninpo 2 drags nearby targets, triangle hold has super armor that is as strong as Murasaki's, air square hold launches on hit - slowest movement speed of all
Rin + DCD, teleport triangle hold, both of the hiden ninpos are unblockable and fast, jump square and ground triangle launch even without charge - Extremely poor health, defense, endurance

Daidouji totally isn't the same as Burst. She can run now, the ground even breaks with each stomp she makes. Her normal attacks are faster. Rin still controls her weapons. Just not us. Her 3rd ninpou is just Homura's 1st ninpou, only longer and wider. See vid below. Correction : Rin's 1st ninpou is controllable, you can move the hurricane left and right.

Rin in Yin mode throws the fuma shurikens for her normal attack, has incredible range but the launcher become slower.
I feel that Daidouji is almost unbeatable in close combat, but will have a tough matchup against Haruka, Hibari, Yagyuu and Yumi, paralyze and ice property work great against slow characters. Though she is much faster now, she is much slower than most characters.
Rin is a somewhat High-tech-required character, can be easily killed but has lots of great moves, mix-ups, and combo. My friend discovered some awesome combo that is completely broken: square, square, triangle, immediately jump cancel, air square or square, square, triangle, circle, triangle, air jump cancel, air square. These two loop can combo anyone to death in air and they can't even use limitbreak or ukemi to escape, fortunately the input must be perfect and they are really hard when playing online.

普通の対戦ができるアクションゲームで考えるとちょっと反則じみてるかな……? と思うようなチート級アクションを全キャラに叩き込んだので、 どの子もキャラの性能と得意な立ち回りを覚えれば対戦で充分戦えるようになっています!

The game planner said he want to make an action game that is different from most normal versus games.
So all the characters have cheating ability in combat. lol maybe that's why there are some many moves that can't be punished at all, and almost everything can be cancelled. Though everyone is cheatingly strong there are still differences.
Thanks to the 2vs2 the balance issues isn't so prominent. But when one on one, I feel there are some 1:9 matchups.

S: Daidouji Rin Miyabi Yomi Homura Katsuragi Yumi A: Shiki Mirai Yagyuu Haruka Hibari Asuka B: Murakumo Yozakura Ryoubi Ryouna Imu Ikaruga Hikage C: Minori
No specific order, free for all and 2vs2 both considered.

Any reason why minori is last. As well as why so many are in S tier?

Minori is ranked last because she doesn't have any powerful setups or moves, the bucket attack is damaging when fully charged but it requires lots of hits to charge it. And it can be easily dodged. The range of the regular moves is also pathetic. I still haven't met a strong Minori after hundreds of matches lol. Hope she will be strengthened in future versions like Haruka. Now Haruka is very strong and is capable of defeating anyone, she even has a infinite loop that even can't be stopped by Limitbreak in Sen mode, fortunately not many people know it, hope it can be removed.
The A and S characters have advantage in most matchups, while the B and C rank characters have some tough matchups that is very hard to handle without the help of the teammate.
When it comes to S tier characters:
Daidouji: hiden ninpo 2 that is almost impossible to evade, triangle(hold) and air square(hold) that deals tons of damage and hard to get punished, highest endurance, high defense and health
Rin: DCD, extremely fast launchers, hiden ninpo 2 that gains points extremely fast, triangle(hold) and square,square,square,square,triangle in Yang mode
Miyabi: high endurance, highest health, high defense, decent movement and attack speed as a power character, triangle,circle loop that moves fast enough to catchup any targets, dashing launchers
Yomi: all-range character( defined in the ingame TIPS), have good moves no matter what range it is, high endurance, defense, health, triangle(hold) works great against most dashing launchers.
Homura: hiden ninpo 1 that gains points extremely fast, fast close combat and damaging combo, triangle and triangle hold crush guard easily and are hard to be punished
Katsuragi: dashing launcher that dashes the longest distance, high endurance, health, defense, best hiden ninpo 2 of all(gains lots of points, anti-air, unblockable, great range, executed immediately after inputing)
Yumi: useful frozen status, great moves in all distance that is capable of freezing opponents, the square, triangle is the best launcher in the game undoubtedly, it has amazing distance, lighting fast, capable of freezing, launches upon hit, and is almost impossible to be punished
When using B and C tier characters against strong characters I feel much more technique is required, spacing, mastery of each moves, just guard and guranteed punishment become very important. You must be careful to seize every chance when playing against strong characters.
Some strong characters have some spammable moves that are extremely hard to get punished, actually, almost impossible, the best you can do is just guard two times to gain a scroll...

Recently it is discovered that Hiden Ninpo 2 can ignore the invincibility frames of Hiden Ninpo 1, so some Hiden Ninpo 2, for example Ikaruga and Shiki's become really useful when you see anyone is using Hiden Ninpo 1.
